Strawberry Waffles

Las Friday, I was glad fresh strawberries were buy one get one free. I was going to make waffles with frozen strawberries. I'm not a big fan of frozen fruits and vegetables because it gets so soggy. Every Saturday morning, I will make waffles for breakfast since we got a waffle maker two weeks ago. So I made strawberry waffles last Saturday with fresh strawberries on the side. It was yummy! If you know me, I love strawberries. I think everything that is made with strawberries are delicious. I remember this strawberry soufflé I got for dessert at Gary Danko. It was amazing!

Like always, my son loves waffles but he didn't like the strawberries in it. He was picking it out and ended up not eating it all. Below also it's a pic of the kids eating breakfast.

Reese's Original Peanut Butter Chip Cookie

My husband bought peanut butter chip because he wanted me to make this cookie. He loves peanut butter so much. My son does too but he didn't even want to try my cookie. Ugh, don't know anyone as picky as him. Hope his pickiness grows out of him.

Oh hot sunny day finally!

Its been hot the past few days!  Last Sunday after church, we took the kids to the playground.  We hardly get nice days so we had to take advantage of it.  In SF, after 2-3 hours, weather changed so dramatically from being really hot to too cold and windy.  We thank the Lord for giving us a good quality time with our family.  Something we really appreciate so much.  Here are some pics of the kids having fun playing outside.

Chocolate Chip Waffles

Yesterday morning I made waffles from scratch. Of course Drew loves it because there's chocolate. As for me, it's too sweet in the morning.

Oatmeal Nutella Whoopie Pies

Made oatmeal cookies and I guess crisco makes the dough rises and big. I had leftover nutella icing so used that filling. I think I'm getting the hang of baking and I really like it. Wish I have big space though and a bigger mixer. Love the cookie scooper. So much easier to put the cookies almost all the same sizes. Oh yeah, whoopie pies are really cake and cookie combine. Such an awesome idea.

While I was baking, the kids took out all of their toys and made one of the bin as a bed, I guess. Kids does the darnest thing!

Today on Four Square Day

We didn't have hot water again, so I couldn't wash the dishes, no we don't have a dishwasher. And I couldn't give the kids baths. So I decided to take the kids out even though I dont like to go out without cleaning first.  We went to Stonestown to eat at the food court since all of us wanted to eat different things. We let Violet walk by herself since it wasn't too crowded, and she really enjoyed walking holding a cup almost the same size as her.  It was so cute.

Banana Cupcake with Nutella frosting

Banana cupcake was yummy! Hubby ate three right away. I used six big bananas instead of small ones. So I think that is the reason why it didn't rise up. I think the nutella frosting was too sweet for my liking. But hub said no, he loves it.

Christmas In Woolaroc

In Bartlesville, Oklahoma, they have have this awesome museum.  Cowboys and wildlife.  Went there the first time in 2010 but not at night and was after Christmas.  So went last Christmas before the 12/25.  The kids took pictures with Santa but of course Violet went crazy crying.  The lights were beautiful outside but so cold.  I also remember us getting stuck there in our car along with more than 25 cars for maybe couple of hours or more because there was a robbery.  It was a long bad night!  Thank God we got home safe!
